The Belgium international, who rejected a move to the Premier League last summer, has been linked with several top clubs, including Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

Johan Bakayoko Impressive Season at PSV

Bakayoko, 21, has been a standout performer for PSV this season.

Since making his senior debut in February 2022, the winger has scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists in 48 appearances.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, with praise coming from Belgium teammate Romelu Lukaku, who has highlighted Bakayoko’s ‘top-tier’ potential.

The left-footed attacker is known for his ability to operate from the right wing, cutting inside to shoot with his favoured foot.

His style of play has drawn comparisons to modern wingers who excel in both creating and finishing chances.

With Arsenal’s interest now confirmed, it remains to be seen if the Gunners can secure his services.

Arsenal Compete with Liverpool and Bayern Munich

Arsenal are not the only club interested in Bakayoko.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot, who knows Bakayoko well from his time in the Eredivisie, is also keen on bringing the winger to Anfield.

Additionally, Bayern Munich have reportedly joined the race for his signature.

Last summer, Bakayoko turned down approaches from Paris Saint-Germain, Brentford, and Burnley.

Ex-Burnley manager Vincent Kompany, now at Bayern Munich, attempted to sign him but was unsuccessful.

With Bakayoko’s transfer fee expected to be around £43 million, this summer promises to be pivotal for the young talent.

Arsenal’s Transfer Priorities

While Arsenal’s main transfer focus is on securing a centre-forward, the addition of Bakayoko would strengthen their attacking options on the flanks.

This season, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard have been instrumental in Arsenal’s attacking play, and Bakayoko could provide further depth and competition.

Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his squad after narrowly missing out on the Premier League title.

The pursuit of Bakayoko indicates Arsenal’s intent to add quality and versatility to their roster, ensuring they remain competitive on all fronts next season.

Interest in Benjamin Sesko

In addition to their interest in Bakayoko, Arsenal are also targeting RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko.

The 20-year-old Slovenian is valued at around £45 million and has attracted attention from several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United.

Journalist Dean Jones recently revealed to GIVEMESPORT that Arsenal could ‘definitely turn Sesko’s head’.

The Gunners are in need of a reliable centre-forward, as Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah managed just nine Premier League goals between them last season.

With the potential acquisition of both Bakayoko and Sesko, Arsenal aim to significantly enhance their attacking prowess.
