After finishing runners-up in the last two seasons, the Gunners are keen to make the necessary improvements to build a squad capable of ending their long wait for a Premier League title.

Forward Line Reinforcements

The Gunners have identified their forward line as an area in need of strengthening, despite Kai Havertz proving he can operate in the number nine role during the latter stages of last season.

Initially, Arsenal were linked with a move for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen. However, they have supposedly dropped their interest due to the player’s €130m (£110.6m) release clause.

With the pursuit of Osimhen off the table, Arsenal are now exploring other options in the market.

Considering Solanke Move

RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko is another possible option for Arsenal, but competition for the Slovenian’s signature is fierce, with Chelsea, Manchester United, and Newcastle United also showing interest.

While Sesko remains a top target, the Daily Express reports that Arsenal are also keen on Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke.

Arsenal are unlikely to have an easy path to Solanke, as North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be admirers of the striker.

According to a separate report from The Athletic, Solanke has a £65m release clause in his Bournemouth contract, which can only be triggered by certain clubs.

However, it is currently unclear which clubs are eligible to activate this clause this summer.

Bournemouth’s Stance on Dominic Solanke

Despite the interest from top clubs, Bournemouth will be eager to retain one of their most prized assets.

Solanke had a standout season, racking up 19 goals in 38 top-flight matches, making him Bournemouth’s highest scorer in a single Premier League campaign.

The 26-year-old finished in joint-fourth place in the Premier League scoring charts, behind Erling Haaland, Cole Palmer, and Alexander Isak.

Since joining Bournemouth from Liverpool in 2019, Solanke has registered 77 goals and 31 assists in 216 appearances.

His consistent performance has made him a key player for the Cherries.

Arsenal’s interest in Solanke and other forward options highlights their strategic approach to strengthening the squad without overspending.

With the summer transfer window approaching, the Gunners will aim to make smart acquisitions that can propel them to the top of English football.
