The Italian club has expressed interest in Kiwior, who joined Arsenal in January 2023 but has struggled to secure regular playing time.

In a bid to secure the Polish international, Juventus are proposing a swap deal that includes former Liverpool player Arthur Melo along with a cash sum.

Juventus’ Offer for Jakub Kiwior

Kiwior, who made 30 appearances across all competitions last season, with only 11 starts in the Premier League, has caught the eye of Juventus.

However, the Serie A side is wary of his price tag. Arsenal are expected to demand around £20 million for the defender, a figure that Juventus finds steep.

To lower the transfer fee, Juventus are prepared to include Arthur Melo in the deal.

Arthur, known to Premier League fans from his loan spell at Liverpool during the 2022/23 season, struggled to make an impact on Merseyside.

He made just one senior appearance, spending more time with the under-21 side.

Liverpool opted not to sign him permanently, but Juventus now see an opportunity to use him in negotiations with Arsenal.

Arthur Melo’s Potential Move to Arsenal

Despite his underwhelming stint at Liverpool, Arthur Melo could still find a future in the Premier League, with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta reportedly open to adding the Brazilian midfielder to his squad.

At 27, Arthur has the potential to revive the form that once made him a standout player.

Although he may not be seen as a first-choice option, his presence could provide valuable depth to Arsenal’s midfield.

The Gunners‘ reliance on key midfielders was evident last season, with both Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard ranking among the top three for minutes played.

Adding Arthur to the squad could alleviate some of the pressure on these pivotal players.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, reflecting on Arthur’s loan spell, commented:

“Circumstances meant Arthur was not able to play as much as he would have liked, but his professionalism and ability were clear to all who worked with him.”

As negotiations progress, it remains to be seen whether Juventus can finalise a deal that suits both parties.

For Kiwior, a move to Juventus could offer the regular playing time he needs to further his career, while Arthur Melo’s arrival at Arsenal could bolster the squad as they aim for success in multiple competitions.
