Arsenal Offer €20m for Summer Target, Club Demands €35m+

Arsenal have made a significant move in the transfer market by submitting an offer for Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadıoğlu.

Arsenal have been heavily connected with a move for Ferdi Kadıoğlu, with reports indicating that the 24-year-old could be the club’s first signing of the summer transfer window.

The Turkish media reports that the Gunners are keen to secure the services of the talented 24-year-old, who impressed with his performances for the Super Lig side last season.

Arsenal’s Bid for Ferdi Kadıoğlu

According to Ajan Spor, Arsenal have put forward a bid of €20 million to sign Kadıoğlu ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

The Turkey international has been on Arsenal’s radar for several months as they seek to strengthen their defensive options.

Kadıoğlu’s versatility and solid performances have also attracted interest from other top European clubs, including Borussia Dortmund.

Competition from Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund have also entered the race for Kadıoğlu, reportedly offering €25 million.

Ajan Spor notes that Dortmund are hopeful that Nuri Şahin, a former player for both Dortmund and Fenerbahce, could play a crucial role in facilitating the transfer.

However, despite the competitive bids from Arsenal and Dortmund, Fenerbahce have turned down both offers.

Fenerbahce’s Stance

Fenerbahce’s president, Ali Koç, has made it clear that the club values Kadıoğlu highly and will not entertain offers below €35 million.

It’s also reported that Kadıoğlu has received offers from Saudi-based clubs, but the defender is not inclined to move to Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career.

Kadıoğlu enjoyed a standout season with Fenerbahce, making 40 appearances and scoring three goals.

His current contract with the club runs until June 2022, adding urgency to the transfer negotiations as interested clubs aim to secure his signature before his value potentially increases further.
