Arsenal’s historic Premier League title triumph has been analyzed through comprehensive season ratings, revealing standout performers and potential summer departures.

According to Football London, Declan Rice emerged as the club’s highest-rated player with an average of 7.3 across the campaign that ended the Gunners’ 22-year wait for glory.

Top performers emerge from title-winning squad

The comprehensive rating system, which scored players out of 10 for every Premier League appearance, highlighted the depth that proved crucial during Arsenal’s championship run. Gabriel Magalhaes (7.2) and William Saliba (7.0) formed the defensive backbone, while Bukayo Saka matched Saliba’s 7.0 rating despite missing significant time through injury.

David Raya’s 6.6 average reflected his consistent performances throughout the season, though the goalkeeper was identified as one of the three most important players in the title success despite the numerical rating not fully capturing his impact.

Jurrien Timber’s 7.0 rating compared favorably to Ben White’s 5.8, underlining the quality difference when the Dutch defender was unavailable for crucial matches, including the Champions League final defeat to PSG.

Summer departure candidates identified

The ratings analysis revealed four players who could face exits this summer. Gabriel Jesus recorded one of the lowest averages at 5.6, with the report suggesting “his time has come at the club and needs to move on.”

Gabriel Martinelli also struggled domestically with a 5.6 rating, despite his Champions League contributions. Christian Norgaard’s 5.7 average was described as disappointing, with the midfielder spending “more minutes on the parade bus than in the Premier League this season.”

Myles Lewis-Skelly’s 5.7 rating reflected his transitional campaign, though strong performances against Fulham (rated 9) and in wins over West Ham and Burnley suggest potential for improvement in his new midfield role.

Transfer priorities emerge

The analysis highlighted the right-back position as a priority for reinforcement, with Arteta lacking quality depth behind Timber. Both Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori scored identical 6.8 ratings, demonstrating the value of having two exceptional center-back options.

Viktor Gyokeres finished with 6.1 after a slow start but ended strongly with 21 goals, providing a platform for next season. Martin Zubimendi’s 6.5 rating showed early promise before second-half fatigue affected his performances.

The comprehensive review emphasized that while Arsenal achieved their ultimate goal, several positions require attention to maintain their championship standard. The left flank was identified as another critical area for investment, despite Leandro Trossard’s improved terms reflecting his 6.5 season rating.
