Arsenal will hold their Premier League trophy parade this afternoon, with the Metropolitan Police expecting at least 500,000 supporters to line the streets of north London for the celebrations.
The Gunners ended their 22-year wait for a league title last week, securing their first Premier League crown since 2004 after seeing off Manchester City’s challenge. Wild scenes erupted outside the Emirates Stadium as fans celebrated the historic achievement.

According to the Evening Standard, the parade will begin at 2pm BST today, starting on Holloway Road before traveling down Seven Sisters Road and following Blackstock Road, Mount Grove Road, Green Lanes, Petherton Road, Beresford Road, Newington Green Road and Essex Road, before turning onto Upper Street.
The 9km route will feature four open-top buses, including a lead ‘Champions’ truck with DJs. Arsenal’s players will be in the front bus, followed by the men’s team staff in a second vehicle. The Arsenal Women’s squad will parade their FIFA Women’s Champions Cup trophy in the third bus, while the fourth will feature fans from Arsenal in the Community programmes and nominated staff members.
Safety measures in place
More than 500 Metropolitan Police officers will be deployed to manage the crowds, with the possibility of over a million people attending. The club has confirmed there will be no trophy lift and the buses will not stop to ensure fans spread evenly across the route for safety reasons.
The Emirates Stadium, club shop, Drayton Park and surrounding roads will all be closed during the parade. Arsenal have advised supporters that the celebration will not be visible from Hornsey Road, Benwell Road or Drayton Park, and no toilet facilities will be available along the route.
The timing comes just one day after Arsenal’s heartbreaking Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties in Budapest. Captain Martin Odegaard had lifted the Premier League trophy at Selhurst Park last weekend following the Gunners’ 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace, with goals from Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke sealing their domestic campaign.
International duty looms
The parade is scheduled for Sunday as many of Arsenal’s World Cup-bound stars are due to be released to their international squads on Monday. The two-hour celebration may unfortunately exclude fans who traveled to Budapest for the final, unless they secured early return flights to London.
Despite the Champions League disappointment, Arsenal supporters will have plenty to celebrate as they mark the club’s return to the summit of English football after more than two decades.
