Borussia Dortmund’s Daniel Svensson has dismissed speculation linking him with a summer move to Arsenal, insisting he remains focused on his current club and has heard nothing concrete about potential transfers.
The versatile 24-year-old, who can operate as a midfielder, left-back or left wing-back, has emerged as a rumoured target for several top clubs in recent months. According to Football London, Real Madrid are reportedly scouting the Sweden international, while Arsenal and Leeds United have been mentioned as potential suitors.

Speaking while on international duty ahead of Sweden’s World Cup play-off against Poland, Svensson was clear about his current priorities.
“I’m just focusing on Dortmund. That’s where I am and I’m really enjoying it. It’s not something I have any focus on. We have important games left in the season,” he said.
When pressed about the transfer speculation, the defender remained dismissive of the rumours circulating around his future.
“I haven’t heard anything about it, to be honest. I have nothing to say about it. Because I don’t know anything about it. It’s not something I’m thinking about. But it’s clear that it’s fun,” Svensson added.
The Swedish international was equally firm when asked directly about the possibility of leaving Dortmund this summer, stating he feels he still has unfinished business at the German club.
“No, I wouldn’t say that. I’m really happy in Dortmund. I haven’t been there for that long. I feel like I have more to do there. I’m really happy to be there,” he explained.
Arsenal’s interest in left-back reinforcements appears limited heading into the summer transfer window. The Gunners are expected to complete the permanent signing of Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen for approximately £45 million, converting his current loan deal into a full transfer.
However, questions remain over Myles Lewis-Skelly’s future at the Emirates Stadium. The England international has struggled for playing time this season and has been linked with a potential move to Manchester United as he seeks regular first-team opportunities.
Lewis-Skelly, who scored his first international goal in Thomas Tuchel’s debut match as England manager against Albania last March, has not featured for the senior national team since October. His lack of minutes at club level has raised concerns about his development trajectory.
Arsenal ideally want to retain Lewis-Skelly’s services, but the club’s inability to guarantee him sufficient playing time could force both parties to reassess the situation when the transfer window opens.
With Hincapie’s permanent arrival likely to solidify Arsenal’s left-back options, any pursuit of additional defensive reinforcements may depend on outgoing movements in that area of the squad.
