Ozil: ” The situation is frustrating for everyone”

Forgotten Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil has recently told his followers on social media that his current situation with the North London club has been a very frustrating and difficult time with Ozil not sighted in an Arsenal side in over nine months. The attacking midfielder has not featured since his side’s 1-0 victory back on March 7 against West Ham.

As everyone now knows, the German midfielder has dramatically fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates and culminated with him being completely left out of the Gunners Premier League and Europa League squad lists by Mikel Arteta.

It has been reported that Ozil could potentially find a way out of Arsenal during the upcoming transfer window with apparent suitors ready to offer the German a way out. If he does not, then he can leave for free during the summer window as his contract will officially end.

Mesut Ozil has been on his social media accounts rather often of late and even held a session where he told his fans to ask him questions and he would answer them. Of course, the questions came thick and fast with one fan asking Ozil if he was indeed happy at the Emirates.

Ozil stated: “It’s a very difficult time for everyone around the club – not just for me. “The situation is frustrating for everyone.

“Of course I would wish I could help the team especially right now, but as long as I don’t get the chance I just hope that we get better results very soon again.”

When Ozil talks about the difficult time, he is directing it at the club’s current horrendous run of results that sees them down in 15th in the Premier League table and Arsenal has not won a league game since November 1 which was away to Manchester United.

It remains to be seen whether Mikel Arteta puts Mesut Ozil back on the team’s Premier League squad list as it is clear the Gunners are missing his creative influence. However, Ozil is not the only player being frozen out, defenders Sokratis and William Saliba both of whom are in the same situation as Ozil.

They were left out of both squad lists with Saliba likely to leave on loan in January and Arsenal determined to off-load Sokratis if a bid comes in for the Greek defender.

Arsenal certainly have some work to do in January and they need to get it right, their status as a Premier League club depends on it.
