Five Talking points from the first game of the Premier League season vs. Nottingham Forest at the Emirates.

Arsenal won the game to 2-1 but unfortunately did not keep a clean sheet. We were unlucky with injuries but we did see a beautiful goal from Bukayo Saka.

1 Delay Gate at the turnstiles.

Arsenal had an embarrassing start to the season after some technical issues. The club moved to full e-ticketing today and the talk outside the ground was that the system had now gone down, leading to crowding issues. Crowds before the game outside the stadium struggling to get in in time. Some of the fans at the game said they’re everywhere of the atmosphere in the momentum to start off the game.

2 Hale End 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Eddie Nketiah scored a goal in the 26 minutes, and he does what he always does when he comes in for Gabriel Jésus: keep this form and show that he is a good backup for now. I’m not ready to call him steady Eddie, but hopefully soon, keep it up.

As for Bukayo Saka, he starts off where he left off last season, scoring a goal, having a man of the match performance, and leaving people at the Emirates done after scoring a brilliant banger from outside the box with his left foot. Starboy doing Starboy things. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins Young Player of the season this year.

Arteta‘s lineup

Arsenal started Ramsdale, Partey, White, Saliba, Timber, Rice, Odegaard, Havertz, Saka, Martinelli, Nketiah. Arteta‘s lineup was very interesting to say, no Gabriel Magalhães, but at least he had Thomas Partey playing at right back.  This might have been due to some fitness issues going into the game. Overall, the performance in the first half was quite good. In the second half of the defensive performance dropped off and we need to make changes. But Arteta’s line up worked perfectly. Rice & partey are a brick wall.

Jurrien Timber injury

Jurrien Timber was injured with a no-contact injury. I hope he’s ok to get well soon he’s been an absolute gem for Arsenal so far today. TNT Sports reporter claims Jurriën Timber’s injury is related to his knee. @cdavison_afc. I really hope his injury here isn’t too bad, but no new info is available as of yet.

5.Gabriel Martinelli

He comes out on winning (also That pass by Martinelli leading up to Eddie Nketiah goal he leaves this match a playmaker today and not the usual goal scorer). I love works his socks off for the team defense also Martinelli looks really strong every time he went into a 50-50 with Aurier.
