Arsenal eye another Real Sociedad raid for 20-year-old defender

Arsenal's pipeline to Real Sociedad may be about to produce another signing, with the Gunners reportedly monitoring 20-year-old defender Jon Martin.

The north London club have done plenty of business with the Basque side in recent years, bringing both Mikel Merino and Martin Zubimendi to the Emirates from San Sebastian. That working relationship is now being cited as a factor in Arsenal's latest interest.

Who is Jon Martin?

Martin is a centre-back who has broken into the Sociedad picture at 20, and reports of his rise centre on his composure in possession and his calmness defending in one-on-one situations. At his age, there is an obvious development curve still ahead of him.
