Arsenal join race for Dortmund teen compared to Bellingham

Arsenal have added another name to their list of young targets in Germany, and this one is still only 15 years old.
Justin Ejodamen, a central midfielder in Borussia Dortmund's academy, has emerged as one of the most talked-about teenagers in German football. According to Team Talk, the Gunners have joined a growing list of clubs monitoring his situation at Signal Iduna Park.

The comparisons being made are not modest ones. Ejodamen has already been likened to Jude Bellingham, who travelled the same path through Dortmund before his move to Real Madrid and his current standing with the England national team.
Dortmund's latest academy product
Dortmund have built a reputation on exactly this kind of player. The German club expect Ejodamen to progress towards their first team in the coming years, and his performances at youth level have already drawn attention from major clubs across Europe.
That track record is precisely why Dortmund remain such an attractive destination for ambitious teenagers. Bellingham arrived from Birmingham City as a 17-year-old and left as one of the most coveted midfielders in world football. Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland followed similar arcs through Westfalenstadion before their big moves.
The report suggests Arsenal believe Ejodamen could follow a comparable trajectory if his development continues on its current course.
Arsenal's north London connection
There is a direct line between the two clubs at present. Ethan Nwaneri is currently on loan at Dortmund, and while Arsenal's recruitment staff have been tracking his progress in the Bundesliga, they have evidently cast an eye across the rest of the squad list too.
The north London side are hardly short of young midfield talent themselves. Max Dowman has impressed in every opportunity he has been handed by Mikel Arteta, and the club's academy pipeline has become one of the most productive in English football over recent seasons.
Even so, the recruitment department has made a habit of moving early on elite teenagers, and Ejodamen fits the profile they have been chasing.
Barcelona lead the chase
Arsenal are not operating in isolation here. Several clubs are said to be monitoring the 15-year-old, with Barcelona reportedly leading the pursuit at this stage.
Dortmund, for their part, remain confident they can keep hold of the midfielder and oversee his development through their own system. The mounting external interest, however, means the German club may face growing pressure to tie down his future sooner rather than later.
It is worth stressing the timeline involved. At 15, Ejodamen is years away from any senior transfer of consequence, and interest at this stage is a long way from a concrete move. Team Talk are not among the tier-one outlets for transfer scoops, so the report should be treated with the appropriate caution.
What it does confirm is that Arsenal's scouting network is active in a market where they have had recent success. With Nwaneri embedded in Dortmund's squad and the relationship between the clubs established, the Gunners are well placed to keep tabs on how the teenager's development unfolds.
