Arsenal Set to Make Contract Offer to Striker Dubbed “Better than Haaland”

Arsenal are gearing up for a pivotal summer transfer window, with reports emerging of a substantial contract offer being prepared for a striker hailed as “better than Haaland.”

Several players have been linked with moves to Arsenal, including AC Milan’s Franceso Camarda, Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi, and Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong.

However, one standout target that the Gunners are keen on securing is Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee.

According to recent reports, Arsenal are ready to offer the target an Emirates contract worth just under £100,000-a-week.

This significant salary package reflects the club’s determination to secure top talent and bolster their squad’s depth for the challenges ahead.

Zirkzee’s Comparison to Haaland

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, relayed by TBR, Arsenal are ready to make a substantial contract offer to Zirkzee, with figures reaching €6m-a-year (£5.2m) or just under £100,000-a-week.

Zirkzee’s impressive performances in Serie A, where he has scored double figures this season, have attracted attention from top clubs.

The 21-year-old striker has already drawn comparison to Erling Haaland, with Voetbal International reporter Souleyman Ozturk described Zirkzee as a more complete striker than the Manchester City star.

“Zirkzee is better than Erling Haaland at everything. Now you may be dismayed because of this statement.

“But I will frame it. (Zirkzee) has vision, technique, strength, charisma, flair, footballing ability. He is therefore better than Haaland in almost everything.

“Imagine if Zirkzee had the energy and focus of Haaland. Then he would be the best striker in the world.”

Arteta’s Optimism and Potential Signings

While Arsenal’s focus remains on their on-field performances, manager Mikel Arteta has expressed confidence in the team’s recent form and ambitions.

He emphasized their goal-scoring prowess in the Premier League this year and hinted at strategic plans for the summer transfer market.

Sporting director Edu Gaspar has already indicated that the club has identified their targets for the upcoming summer.

“We already have our targets,” said the Brazilian (via TNT Sports), highlighting the club’s proactive approach to recruitment.

“We have planned a lot ahead and I will be worried if we don’t score a lot of goals and if we’re not creating chances, which is the opposite because we create a lot and score a lot of goals.

“The plan is to try to get better every year and I think we are in a good moment. Let’s see if we can keep improving,” he added.

“We are looking at players who can add quality to our squad,” Edu stated.

“We want players who not only have talent but also the right character and commitment to the club.”

As Arsenal prepare for an exciting summer transfer window, the prospect of landing a striker of Zirkzee’s caliber signifies their ambition to compete at the highest levels.

Arsenal recently secured a 3-0 win against Brighton, propelling them to the top of the Premier League table.

Their next challenge awaits in the Champions League quarterfinals against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
