Arsenal are keeping close tabs on Marcus Rashford’s situation as uncertainty continues to surround the Manchester United forward’s future this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal and Bayern Munich are monitoring Rashford’s situation as various parties weigh up their options. Barcelona hold a £26million option-to-buy clause but are reportedly keen to either renegotiate the terms or secure another loan deal.
Manchester United, however, would prefer a permanent sale despite speculation that Rashford could return to Old Trafford if Michael Carrick secures the head coach position on a full-time basis. The 28-year-old appears unlikely to have a long-term future at his parent club.
Arsenal’s attacking reinforcements
The Gunners’ interest in Rashford comes as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attacking options this summer. Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have both struggled for consistency in the left-wing position during the 2025/26 campaign.
This wouldn’t be Arsenal’s first attempt to secure Rashford’s signature. The club previously tried to sign him permanently in 2022, and the forward has proven himself a consistent threat against the north London side throughout his career, scoring six goals and registering four assists in 18 meetings.
Arsenal are reportedly considering multiple options for the left flank, with Paris Saint-Germain’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon also on their radar. AC Milan’s Rafael Leao represents another potential target, though the £50million-rated Portuguese winger is expected to attract significant competition.
Champions League final awaits
The transfer speculation comes as Arsenal celebrate reaching the Champions League final following their 2-1 aggregate victory over Atletico Madrid. Bukayo Saka’s winner at the Emirates Stadium secured their spot in European football’s showpiece event.
Arteta was effusive in his praise after the historic achievement, describing the atmosphere and his team’s performance as “unbelievable” and “incredible.”
Arsenal now turn their attention back to domestic matters, with crucial Premier League fixtures against West Ham, Burnley, and Crystal Palace remaining as they chase a first top-flight title in 22 years. The potential addition of Rashford could provide the attacking quality needed to complement their Champions League ambitions moving forward.
