Arsenal 'preparing £34m January bid' for 21-year-old winger

Arsenal are reportedly lining up a January move for RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa, with an opening offer of £34million said to be in the works.
The 21-year-old Norwegian has been in strong form at the start of the Bundesliga season, having joined Leipzig from Club Brugge in August 2024. He is also an international team-mate of Martin Odegaard.

According to German outlet Fussball News, Arsenal and Tottenham are at the front of the queue for Nusa, with Roma, Aston Villa, Newcastle, AC Milan and Inter Milan all said to be monitoring the situation.
The report claims Arsenal's interest could become "particularly concrete", though the mooted £34m opening bid falls well short of Leipzig's asking price, which is understood to sit in the £50-55million range. Fussball News is not a tier one outlet, so the figures should be treated with the usual caution attached to early-window reporting.
Haaland said to prefer PSG
The second piece of speculation surrounding the Gunners concerns Erling Haaland. Manchester City have been found guilty of violating 114 of the Premier League's financial regulations between 2009 and 2018, a verdict the club have appealed while maintaining their innocence.
Relegation sits among the most serious sanctions available, and in that scenario City's leading players would be expected to leave the Etihad. Haaland has been linked with Arsenal since the verdict emerged, with the north London side still searching for a world-class centre-forward.
However, Le Parisien report that PSG are frontrunners for the 26-year-old, with the back-to-back Champions League winners viewing Haaland as the natural successor to Ousmane Dembele. Dembele turns 30 next year and is reportedly a candidate for a move to Saudi Arabia.
PSG, of course, beat Arsenal in this year's Champions League final.
Leeds up next at the Emirates
The transfer chatter arrives during an international break that has left Arteta's side waiting to respond to a 3-0 defeat at Brighton, a result that interrupted an otherwise strong start to the 2026/27 campaign.
Before the Amex loss, the Gunners had won seven consecutive matches across all competitions, following up last season's first league title in 22 years with a Community Shield victory over Manchester City.
Arteta's preparations for the Leeds United visit on October 10 also carry questions over availability, with members of his squad having picked up injuries while away with their national teams.
Clarity on those fitness issues should arrive as the squad reassembles at London Colney, with the Leeds fixture offering Arsenal their first chance to restart their title defence.
