Arsenal's November schedule finalised as two more games move

Arsenal's November calendar is now set in stone after the latest round of broadcast selections, with two more Premier League fixtures shifted from their original slots for live television coverage.

The trip to Anfield had already been moved, with Liverpool vs Arsenal kicking off at 4.30pm on Sunday 1 November. Now Sky Sports have selected two further fixtures in the same month.

Arsenal's trip to Newcastle will kick off at 5.30pm on Saturday 21 November, while Manchester City's visit to N5 has been pushed to 4.30pm on Sunday 29 November.

The full run

The busy stretch actually begins in October. Arsenal confirmed earlier this week that the Carabao Cup fourth-round tie away at Fleetwood Town will be played on Tuesday 27 October, with an 8pm kick-off. That game will also be broadcast on Sky Sports.

From there, November opens with the visit to Liverpool on Sunday 1 November, followed three days later by a Champions League trip to Slavia Prague on Wednesday 4 November at 8pm.

Hull City then visit the Emirates on Saturday 7 November in the only November league fixture to retain a traditional 3pm Saturday slot, immediately before the international break.

After the interlull, the schedule tightens again. The trip to St James' Park on Saturday 21 November is followed by Borussia Dortmund's visit in the Champions League on Tuesday 24 November at 8pm, before Manchester City arrive in north London the following Sunday.

Three games in eight days

That closing sequence — Newcastle away, Dortmund at home, Manchester City at home — falls inside a nine-day window, and all three arrive straight off the back of an extended international break that has already disrupted preparation.

Injury concerns are already part of the picture heading into that period, with Declan Rice having withdrawn from the England squad during the current break.

Arsenal's most recent outing was a 3-0 defeat at Brighton on Saturday 19 September, meaning Mikel Arteta's side return from the interlull with plenty to address before the fixture list ramps up.
