Arsenal star’s wife deletes wedding photos amid marriage speculation

Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard’s wife has removed all traces of their relationship from her social media accounts, sparking speculation about the couple’s marriage status.

Laura Hilven, 33, appears to have wiped her Instagram profile clean of any evidence of her husband, deleting wedding photos, holiday snaps and images of herself wearing Arsenal shirts alongside the Belgian international.

The couple, who have been together for 13 years and married in 2019, are reportedly experiencing significant pressure as Trossard chases a potential Premier League and Champions League double with the Gunners.

Social media clean-out

According to Football London, Hilven’s Instagram account, which boasts 35,000 followers, previously featured regular updates about their life together. The deleted content includes photographs from Trossard’s 2018 proposal, numerous vacation pictures and an image of the pair on the Emirates Stadium pitch from last season.

“Laura used to have loads of pictures on her Instagram showing her and Leandro on their wedding day, on holidays and going out on date nights, but she has wiped them all,” a source told The Sun. “If someone looked at her profile now, they would have no clue that they had ever been together, let alone married.”

Hilven’s current Instagram feed now focuses solely on family members, birthday celebrations, trips to Disneyland Paris and Wimbledon, and tennis outings – with no sign of her husband anywhere.

Wedding memories erased

The social media purge has extended to removing highly personal moments from their relationship timeline. Gone is the post celebrating Trossard’s proposal, where Hilven wrote: “I can’t picture my life with anyone other than YOU! I SAID YES.”

Also deleted was a wedding day photograph accompanied by the caption: “I have been told many times, how beautiful it is, how deep it goes. But only since I know you I know that love really exists.”

Reports suggest Hilven hasn’t been photographed wearing her wedding ring since late last year, adding fuel to speculation about their relationship status.

The timing coincides with one of the most crucial periods in Trossard’s career. The 31-year-old played a key role in Arsenal’s Champions League semi-final victory over Atletico Madrid and is expected to feature when the Gunners visit West Ham on Sunday.

Arsenal need just three more Premier League victories to secure their first top-flight title in 22 years before facing Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final in Budapest on May 30th.
