Arsenal Target £83m Premier League Star for Summer Move

Arsenal are reportedly poised to pursue West Ham United’s winger Mohammed Kudus in a bid to strengthen their attacking options.
According to sources, the Gunners are considering an offer that could reach £83 million for the Ghanaian international, who joined West Ham from Ajax in 2023.
Kudus’ flair and versatility have made him one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season, and Arsenal see him as an ideal fit to complement their current star winger, Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal Seek Attacking Depth with Kudus Move
Currently in the midst of a highly competitive Premier League season, Arsenal are actively exploring options to enhance their forward line and maintain pressure on league leaders Manchester City and Liverpool.
Kudus has quickly adapted to English football since his arrival in the summer, tallying 10 goals and 6 assists in 41 appearances for the Hammers.
His ambition to compete in European football aligns with Arsenal’s aspirations, and with West Ham unlikely to qualify for Europe next season, Kudus may be open to a switch to North London.
Kudus, who has a contract with West Ham until 2028, originally transferred from Ajax for over £35 million, meaning that if Arsenal’s potential £83 million bid were accepted, West Ham would secure a significant profit.
Arsenal believe the 24-year-old’s skill set would not only bolster their attacking options but also provide essential depth to cover for Bukayo Saka, who has recently struggled with injuries.
Kudus’ versatility could offer Arsenal a chance to rest Saka or line him up alongside another dynamic winger in certain tactical setups.
Premier League Rivals Also Eyeing Kudus
While Arsenal remain firmly interested, they are not alone in their pursuit of Kudus. Both Liverpool and Chelsea have previously expressed interest in signing the winger, with Liverpool notably considering him as a possible replacement should Mohamed Salah depart Anfield.
With Salah’s future uncertain, Kudus has been viewed as a potential long-term replacement, given his age and potential to make an impact in both domestic and European competitions.
Chelsea, too, were linked with Kudus before he joined West Ham, with then-manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly exploring the idea of bringing the Ghanaian international to Stamford Bridge.
However, no formal bid materialised, and Kudus ultimately found a new home at West Ham.
Nevertheless, with both Liverpool and Chelsea monitoring his progress, Arsenal could face stiff competition if they choose to move forward with an offer.
Kudus Serving Extended Ban Following Spurs Incident
Despite his success on the pitch, Kudus recently encountered a setback following an altercation with Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven during West Ham’s 4-1 loss in October.
After scoring the Hammers’ opening goal, Kudus was dismissed with a red card after clashing with the Spurs defender.
The initial punishment was a three-match ban, but following a review by the FA, his suspension was extended to five matches, keeping him out of action until West Ham’s early December clash with Leicester City.
In addition to the ban, Kudus received a £60,000 fine.
Arsenal, along with other potential suitors, will be observing how Kudus fares on his return.
While this setback has momentarily stalled his momentum, Kudus’ technical abilities and attacking prowess continue to make him a coveted asset in the Premier League.
