Arsenal Women forward Selina Cerci has pulled out of the Germany squad for this international break, with a knee problem ruling her out of friendlies against Japan and Australia.

Germany have already secured their place without needing to go through the UEFA World Cup playoffs, meaning this camp was always built around friendlies rather than competitive fixtures. The German FA's official website confirmed the news, stating simply that Cerci "is unavailable due to knee problems."

The withdrawal comes during a difficult start to the season for Cerci at club level, having featured for just 40 minutes in Arsenal colours so far this campaign.
