Bayern Munich pull out of race for Arsenal transfer target Yildiz

Bayern Munich have reportedly withdrawn their interest in Kenan Yildiz, removing one of the few clubs who could have rivalled Arsenal for the Juventus forward.
Yildiz has missed a significant chunk of this season through injury, but he remains a key figure for the Serie A club, and Juventus have made clear he is not for sale. Despite that stance, Arsenal are still expected to continue their pursuit of the Turkish international, whose valuation sits at around 150 million euros.

Why Bayern stepped back
According to TeamTalk, Bayern Munich have decided against pushing for Yildiz because of the scale of investment required. The report suggests the German club do not see the logic in spending such a large fee on a player they themselves let leave for Juventus just a few years ago.
Yildiz came through Bayern's academy between 2012 and 2022 but was never given the first team chances he was looking for in Munich. Juventus swooped to sign him instead, and he has since developed into one of the more sought after attacking talents in Serie A, scoring regularly and drawing admiring glances from across Europe.
That history is part of what made Bayern's interest notable in the first place, a reunion with the club that developed him always carried a certain narrative appeal. With that option now off the table, Arsenal's path to the forward looks comparatively less crowded.
Juventus still hold the cards
Bayern stepping aside does not mean Arsenal's business is simple. Juventus have been firm in their insistence that Yildiz is not available, and a fee in the region of 150 million euros would represent one of the most expensive deals in the club's history if Arsenal were to go through with it.
Mikel Arteta's side have shown in recent transfer windows that they are willing to spend heavily when a target is deemed the right fit, but matching Juventus' valuation while also convincing the Italian club to sell a player they class as central to their plans would require considerable negotiation.
For now, Arsenal remain keen on Yildiz and face less external competition than previously expected. Whether that translates into an actual deal will depend on Juventus' willingness to do business, and on how much Arsenal are prepared to invest in a player who has already missed a large part of this season through injury.
