Former Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere has recommended two attacking targets as the Gunners prepare for what could be a significant squad overhaul this summer.

The north London side are actively seeking to strengthen their forward options, with speculation mounting that Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Leandro Trossard could all depart at the end of the current campaign.

Aliadiere’s attacking recommendations

Speaking about potential reinforcements, Aliadiere has identified Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams as ideal signings for Arsenal.

“Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nico Williams would be great additions to the Arsenal team,” Aliadiere told Football365.

The club has monitored both wingers over an extended period, with their consistent performances ensuring they remain of interest to Arteta’s recruitment team.

Kvaratskhelia has been instrumental in Napoli’s recent success, while Williams caught the eye with his performances for Spain at Euro 2024 and continues to impress in La Liga.

Financial constraints shape strategy

However, Aliadiere acknowledged the financial realities facing Arsenal, particularly regarding Financial Fair Play compliance.

“Knowing a little bit about the financial situation and Financial Fair Play, to bring that type of player in you would probably have to sell and there have been a lot of rumours about Trossard and Martinelli, who could be sold to generate money,” he explained.

This approach reflects Arsenal’s broader strategy of sustaining competitiveness while carefully managing resources. Any high-profile signings are likely to depend on the club’s ability to generate funds through player sales.

Despite Arteta’s continued faith in the current attacking options, there is growing understanding within the club that sales may be necessary to facilitate upgrades within the squad.

Whether Arsenal will make decisive moves for either Kvaratskhelia or Williams remains uncertain, with much depending on outgoing transfers and the club’s financial flexibility during the upcoming window.

The summer transfer window promises to be a pivotal period for Arsenal as they look to evolve their squad without compromising their financial stability.
