Former Man City captain Kompany rushed to hospital after collapse

Vincent Kompany was taken to hospital by ambulance after reportedly collapsing at Bayern Munich's training ground on Friday, just days after facing Arsenal in the Champions League.
The former Manchester City captain, 40, has been battling a viral infection that is said to have caused complications with old scar tissue, leaving him in significant pain and struggling to climb stairs. According to BILD, a rescue helicopter landed at Bayern's training ground on Friday before Kompany was taken to hospital. Sky Sports Germany reported that he collapsed following the session, which came in the build up to Bayern's Bundesliga trip to Freiburg this Sunday, and added that his condition is stable.
Kompany admitted he 'didn't listen to his body'
The Belgian had already missed training sessions and a press conference ahead of Wednesday's 2-2 draw with Arsenal at the Allianz Arena, though he was present on the touchline for the match itself. Speaking after the game, Kompany reflected on pushing through the illness.
