Hincapié carried off in warm-down after Arsenal's Leeds win

Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Leeds United on Saturday was overshadowed by an injury scare for Piero Hincapié, who reportedly had to be carried off during the post-match warm-down after clutching his right ankle.
The Ecuadorian defender had come on as an 82nd-minute substitute for Riccardo Calafiori and appeared to get through his brief cameo without issue. According to BBC Sport journalist Sami Mokbel, however, Hincapié was seen struggling afterwards and needed to be carried off during the warm-down.

There has been no official confirmation from the club on the severity of the injury or whether it will rule him out of upcoming fixtures.
A frustrating setback after a promising return
The timing is particularly unwelcome given Hincapié had only just returned to full fitness. He stayed in north London during the international break to work on his conditioning, and last week he was pictured back in training alongside Ben White and Cristhian Mosquera, offering Mikel Arteta some encouraging defensive news after a difficult run of fitness issues at the back.
Saturday's win itself was significant for Arsenal, who needed a response after the disappointing defeat to Brighton. James Justin had put Leeds ahead before Calafiori's equaliser and a Bruno Guimarães winner turned the game in Arsenal's favour. Hincapié's introduction late on was one of several changes Arteta made as the side looked to see out the result.
What it means for the Lille clash
Arsenal are back in Champions League action on Tuesday when Lille visit the Emirates Stadium, and the hope will be that this latest issue turns out to be a minor knock rather than anything more serious.
Should Hincapié be unavailable, Arteta still has options at left-back, with Calafiori currently occupying the role and Myles Lewis-Skelly another alternative if needed. Any extended absence for the 24-year-old would nonetheless be a blow to a campaign that has already been disrupted by fitness problems.
More clarity on Hincapié's condition is expected in the coming days as Arsenal's medical staff assess the extent of the issue ahead of a busy run of fixtures.
