Kane admits Bayern 'didn't deserve' win over Arsenal in 2-2 thriller

Harry Kane conceded that Bayern Munich 'probably didn't get enough right to deserve the win' after Arsenal fought back for a 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Goals from Alphonso Davies and Kane himself put Bayern in control, but Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice struck for the Gunners to secure a share of the spoils in Munich. The result leaves both sides with a point apiece from a game that swung back and forth throughout.

Speaking to DAZN at full time, the England captain and former Spurs striker was candid in his assessment of the contest, admitting Arsenal caused Bayern real problems for large periods.
Kane's verdict
'I thought it was a good performance. I think for large spells of the game, especially the start of the second half, we had a real intensity,' Kane said.
'We looked dangerous, we got the goal and we had a moment to kill the game off. We had the momentum, they looked tired, but then we got caught in a low block for the final 15 minutes and they punished us with the goal.'
He went on to acknowledge Arsenal's situation heading into the match, noting the number of absentees Mikel Arteta had to contend with. 'The draw was probably a fair result overall. I think we could have been a bit more clinical in the final third. But there are a lot of games, we've got a lot of players with injuries who are missing tonight. In the end, we'll take the point and move on.'
Kane also praised the way Arsenal competed physically in midfield battles throughout the match. 'It was a battle. Every duel was important. They look for the second balls and build from there into the game. I thought we dealt with that for most of the game pretty well.'
'As the game got a little stretched towards the end, they grew into it and they're a good physical team. Like I said, with the games we're playing, it's about every little detail. We probably didn't get enough right to deserve the win.'
Bischof echoes the sentiment
Kane's teammate Tom Bischof was similarly complimentary about Arsenal's performance, describing them as more than a routine opponent. 'When you take the lead late, it's disappointing to not take three points. We had good phases in the second half, settled in up front, but Arsenal are a good team. They applied pressure and got their goal,' he said, as quoted by football.london.
'This wasn't just any opponent. We maybe needed to be a little more disruptive and annoying in the challenges as well as clever.'
The draw keeps Arsenal unbeaten against one of Europe's heavyweights despite the absentees Kane referenced, with Arteta's side now turning their attention to their next fixture as the Champions League campaign continues.
