Harry Kane admitted Bayern Munich 'probably didn't get enough right to deserve the win' against Arsenal, echoing the sentiments of his teammate Tom Bischof after the two sides shared a pulsating 2-2 draw in the Champions League at the Allianz Arena.

Goals from Alphonso Davies and Kane put the hosts in front on two separate occasions, but Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice ensured Arsenal left Munich with a point in a game that swung back and forth throughout the night.

Who's out, who's back and what it means for the next two games.

Speaking to DAZN after the final whistle, Kane praised Arsenal's second half showing but conceded his own side would have needed to be far sharper to see out the win. 'I thought it was a good performance. I think for large spells of the game, especially the start of the second half, we had a real intensity,' he said.

'We looked dangerous, we got the goal and we had a moment to kill the game off. We had the momentum, they looked tired, but then we got caught in a low block for the final 15 minutes and they punished us with the goal.'

The England captain, who left Tottenham for Bayern in 2023, went on to acknowledge the quality of Mikel Arteta's side despite Arsenal being without several players through injury. 'The draw was probably a fair result overall. I think we could have been a bit more clinical in the final third. But there are a lot of games, we've got a lot of players with injuries who are missing tonight. In the end, we'll take the point and move on,' Kane added.

Bischof echoes Kane's praise

Kane also detailed how physical the contest had been, noting Bayern's approach of hunting second balls. 'It was a battle. Every duel was important. They look for the second balls and build from there into the game. I thought we dealt with that for most of the game pretty well,' he said. 'As the game got a little stretched towards the end, they grew into it and they're a good physical team. Like I said, with the games we're playing, it's about every little detail. We probably didn't get enough right to deserve the win.'

Bischof, speaking separately, was similarly complimentary of Arsenal's performance in Munich, according to football.london. 'When you take the lead late, it's disappointing to not take three points. We had good phases in the second half, settled in up front, but Arsenal are a good team. They applied pressure and got their goal,' Bischof said. 'This wasn't just any opponent. We maybe needed to be a little more disruptive and annoying in the challenges as well as clever.'

A tough away point

The result leaves Arsenal unbeaten in their Champions League campaign so far, having taken a point from one of the toughest away trips available in this season's competition. Eze and Rice's goals showed the depth and quality Arteta can call upon even with absentees, with the draw in Munich standing as further evidence that Arsenal remain a side capable of competing with Europe's elite regardless of who is missing from the squad.
