Harry Kane was in complete agreement with Bayern Munich teammate Tom Bischof after the 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday night, with both players conceding the result at the Allianz Arena was a fair one.

Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice cancelled out goals from Alphonso Davies and Kane himself as Arsenal came from behind twice to leave Munich with a point. The England captain and former Spurs forward felt his side should have been more ruthless when they had the chance to kill the game off.

Speaking to DAZN at full time, Kane said: "I thought it was a good performance. I think for large spells of the game, especially the start of the second half, we had a real intensity. We looked dangerous, we got the goal and we had a moment to kill the game off. We had the momentum, they looked tired, but then we got caught in a low block for the final 15 minutes and they punished us with the goal."

He added that the draw was "probably a fair result overall" despite acknowledging Arsenal's absentees. "I think we could have been a bit more clinical in the final third. But there are a lot of games, we've got a lot of players with injuries who are missing tonight. In the end, we'll take the point and move on."

Kane praises Arsenal's physicality and structure

Kane went on to describe the match as "a battle" in which Bayern struggled to deal with Arsenal's approach for long periods. "It was a battle. Every duel was important. They look for the second balls and build from there into the game. I thought we dealt with that for most of the game pretty well," he said.

He also pointed to Arsenal's growing influence as the game wore on. "As the game got a little stretched towards the end, they grew into it and they're a good physical team. Like I said, with the games we're playing, it's about every little detail. We probably didn't get enough right to deserve the win."

Bischof: 'This wasn't just any opponent'

Bischof echoed his teammate's sentiment, admitting Bayern's inability to hold onto a late lead was costly. "When you take the lead late, it's disappointing to not take three points. We had good phases in the second half, settled in up front, but Arsenal are a good team. They applied pressure and got their goal."

He continued: "This wasn't just any opponent. We maybe needed to be a little more disruptive and annoying in the challenges as well as clever."

The comments from both Kane and Bischof, relayed via football.london, reflect a Bayern dressing room that recognised the challenge Arsenal posed despite missing several first team players through injury. The point keeps Arsenal unbeaten against one of Europe's heavyweights as the Champions League campaign continues.
