Bayern Munich will be without Michael Olise for next Wednesday's Champions League meeting with Arsenal after the winger was sent off in Tuesday's defeat to Viking.
Vincent Kompany's side had fought back from 2-0 down at half time to lead 3-2 in Norway before Olise's dismissal in stoppage time contributed to Bayern surrendering victory. He was first cautioned for a tactical foul before picking up a second yellow for throwing the ball at Zlatko Tripic's head.

That second booking means an automatic one match ban, ruling him out of the trip to face the Gunners at the Allianz Arena, a fixture Bayern need to win to get their top eight qualification bid back on track.
Kompany on the incident
Speaking after the game, as reported by football.london, Kompany said Olise was aware of the mistake he had made.
“He knows he made a mistake. You can see that he's sorry about what happened and that he regrets letting the team down,” Kompany said. “That's absolutely fine, these things happen. Today wasn't a final or a semi final, but these are the kinds of moments that can have a decisive impact on a season.”
The Bayern boss added that his side should have stuck to their own game plan rather than getting drawn into confrontation. “When you're much better than your opponent, sometimes you just need to play your game and focus on being the better team rather than getting involved in unnecessary situations. I told him that the opponent outsmarted him. We can't change that now. Hopefully we can look back on this as a moment when we learned a lesson.”
Harry Kane, who scored twice in the game, also addressed the red card. “He'll have to take responsibility obviously, he'll have to learn from it,” Kane said. “It's a shame because obviously we have big games coming up in the Champions League now and he's going to be gutted to miss those games. But this is football. Sometimes mistakes can happen, it's life.”
What it means for Arsenal
Olise has scored eight goals and added four assists across all competitions this season, and was similarly prolific for France during the international break, scoring four and assisting twice in four Nations League matches. His absence removes one of Bayern's most in form attackers from a game of genuine significance.
Arsenal arrive at the Allianz having beaten Lille 3-0 at the Emirates and sitting on 14 consecutive Champions League group phase wins, three short of Bayern's own record of 17. A win in Munich, somewhere Arsenal have not triumphed since 2013, would keep that pursuit alive heading into the closing stages of the competition.
