Leipzig set €60m price on Arsenal's Norwegian winger target

Arsenal's interest in Antonio Nusa has resurfaced, and RB Leipzig have reportedly put a price on their Norwegian winger ahead of the next transfer window.
Nusa has established himself as one of the Bundesliga's most dangerous attackers and caught the eye for Norway at the 2026 World Cup. Those performances fuelled expectation that he would leave Leipzig in the summer, but no interested club managed to get a deal over the line.

Arsenal were among those who had hoped to land him, according to the reporting, before the Gunners turned their attention to Vinicius Junior and Julian Alvarez. Neither move materialised, and the north London side ended the window having added Christos Tzolis as their only recognised left winger, with Eberechi Eze also able to fill in on that flank.
The €60m question
According to Fichajes, Leipzig want €60 million to part with Nusa. That is comfortably above Arsenal's own valuation, with the club reportedly rating him at closer to €40 million — a gap of roughly €20 million between the two positions.
It should be noted that Fichajes are not considered a tier-one outlet, and their figures often sit at the speculative end of the transfer market. The broader picture, however, is straightforward enough: Leipzig are under no pressure to sell.
Nusa is contracted at the Red Bull Arena until 2029, which hands the German club significant leverage. With four years still to run, they can hold firm on their asking price and wait for a bidder willing to meet it, rather than entertain discounted offers in a mid-season window.
Where it leaves Arsenal
The report suggests a compromise remains possible if Arsenal raise their opening valuation and Leipzig soften their demands. Those negotiations, though, would start from a position of weakness for the buying club given the length of Nusa's deal.
The context is clear. Having missed out on two high-profile forward targets over the summer, Arsenal's left-sided attacking options are thinner than they might have planned for, with Tzolis the only specialist in the role and Eze offering cover from a more central starting point.
Nusa, still only in the early stages of his career and already a regular international, fits the profile Arsenal have favoured in the market — young, quick, direct and with resale value built in. Whether that profile is worth €60 million to a club that has valued him at two-thirds of that figure is the decision now facing the recruitment team.
For now, nothing is imminent. Leipzig have set their number, Arsenal have set theirs, and the next window will determine whether either side is prepared to move.
