Declan Rice is reportedly closing in on a new long-term contract at Arsenal worth around £350,000 per week, according to the Daily Mail. The deal would place the 27-year-old on equal footing with Bukayo Saka at the top of the club's wage structure.

Rice joined Arsenal from West Ham in 2023 for a reported £105million fee and has since become one of the first names on Arteta's team sheet. He made 55 appearances in all competitions last season as Arsenal won the Premier League title and reached their first Champions League final since 2006, eventually losing out to Paris Saint-Germain.

Per the report, talks over a new deal have been ongoing since at least March and are now reaching a conclusion. Rice's current contract runs until 2028, but the fresh terms would secure his long-term future at the club and reflect his rising status both domestically and internationally.

Where Rice would sit among the Premier League's top earners

Should the deal be finalised, Rice would reportedly become the Premier League's joint-fourth highest earner alongside Saka, behind only Erling Haaland (£525,000), Virgil van Dijk (£350,000) and Enzo Fernandez (£350,000) — with Rice and Saka occupying a shared spot on £350,000 per week. That would place him above the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Dominik Szoboszlai, Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford on the published list.
