Bukayo Saka's night in Munich lasted just 10 minutes before an injury forced him off the pitch during Arsenal's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

The winger burst forward in trademark fashion, cut inside and offloaded the ball to a teammate before immediately going down in pain. It is not yet clear which part of his leg was affected. Saka signalled to the bench straight away and received medical attention pitchside, but he was unable to continue and was replaced by Eberechi Eze.

Who's out, who's back and what it means for the next two games.

The early withdrawal will be a concern for Mikel Arteta given Saka's importance to the side this season, and supporters will now wait on further updates from the club regarding the extent of the issue.

Eze makes an instant impact

Eze wasted little time making his mark after coming on, firing Arsenal in front just 14 minutes later. Martin Odegaard played a superb cross field ball into the England international's path on the left flank, and the former Crystal Palace man took the ball in his stride before lashing home left footed.

The goal was initially flagged offside, but VAR review adjudged that Eze had held his run and the strike was allowed to stand.

Arsenal's lead did not last long, however, as Harry Kane was heavily involved in Bayern's equaliser before half time. Kane played a sumptuous through ball for Alfonso Davies, who went one on one with David Raya and slotted home to level the scores.

A big night in the race for a perfect start

Arsenal arrived in Munich bidding to continue a 100 percent start to this season's Champions League campaign, having won their opening two fixtures without conceding a single goal. A result against Bayern would keep that record intact heading into the business end of the group phase.

The north London side will also be mindful of last season's run to the final, where they suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties in Budapest. That experience will add extra motivation as Arteta's side look to go one step further this time around.

For now, attention turns to the fitness of Saka as the club assesses the injury in the coming days. As reported by the Mirror, the full nature of the problem remains unclear, and Arsenal fans will be hoping it is nothing serious as a demanding run of fixtures continues.
