Two Arsenal Players Could Bid Farewell This Summer

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano first reported that Arsenal’s Portuguese full-back, Cedric Soares, is set to leave the club as a free agent at the end of his current contract.
Soares, 32, will become a free agent in June 2024, sparking interest from several European clubs that see him as a valuable addition at no cost.
Despite this impending departure, Soares remains committed to Arsenal for the remainder of the season, as confirmed by Romano.

Soares’ Limited Playing Time at Arsenal
Since joining Arsenal, Soares has primarily served as a squad player, competing for a spot against first-choice right-backs like Takehiro Tomiyasu, Jurrien Timber, and Ben White.
Despite injuries to some of these players, Soares has struggled to secure regular playing time under Arteta.
He has had limited involvement in Mikel Arteta’s plans this season, featuring in just five official matches, with only one start, and playing a total of 124 minutes.
Another Player Set to Depart
The north London club could face not only Soares’ departure but also that of another key player.
Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth stated that Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale may have already played his final match for the club, as David Raya is expected to receive more playing time.
Ramsdale is likely to receive several offers as he prepares to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.
According to The Sun, Chelsea and Newcastle United are monitoring his situation, considering a formal offer to test Arsenal’s resolve.
They’ve observed Raya’s strong performances, which have reduced Ramsdale’s playing time significantly this season.
Both clubs have shown interest in Ramsdale for a while, but they understood that signing him mid-season would be challenging due to Raya’s form.
Arsenal’s Approach to Ramsdale’s Future
Arsenal has set a £50 million price tag for Ramsdale, hoping it would discourage potential suitors during the winter transfer window.
They are open to negotiations if Ramsdale expresses a desire to leave and receives a suitable offer.
Despite his limited appearances this season, Ramsdale’s future at Arsenal looks secure for another two years, given his recent contract extension.
However, his lack of game time could affect his chances of earning a spot in the England squad under Gareth Southgate.
