White says fans will see 'best versions' of him and Timber

Ben White and Jurrien Timber have been plagued by fitness issues over the past few seasons, with Arsenal rarely able to call upon both right backs at the same time. Now, with both men available, White believes supporters are about to see the pair at their peak.
Speaking to Football London, White addressed the situation directly. “Obviously it has been different, because either me or JT has been injured. It’s always been, you have to play, you have to play. Now, it’s a different moment. We can actually get some rest as well. I am sure you will see the best versions of each of us.”

A rare moment of full fitness
White and Timber have both established themselves among the better right backs in the Premier League, and were part of the squad that helped Arsenal win the Premier League title last season. Despite their undoubted quality, injuries have repeatedly disrupted their seasons, often forcing Mikel Arteta to rely on whichever of the two happened to be fit at the time.
That dynamic appears to have shifted for now. With both defenders available simultaneously, White suggests the constant pressure to play through niggles or fatigue has eased, allowing proper rotation and rest between matches.
What it means for Arteta's options
Genuine competition for places at right back gives Arteta a selection headache of the kind most managers would welcome. Rather than managing around fitness concerns, he can now rotate based on form, opponent and freshness, something that has rarely been possible with this pair over recent campaigns.
The hope among supporters will be that this spell of simultaneous availability continues rather than becoming another brief window before one or both pick up fresh issues. Their track record means caution is warranted, but for now Arsenal have a selection luxury in that position that has been largely absent since the two were first paired together.
With a busy run of fixtures ahead, having both White and Timber fit and firing offers Arteta genuine tactical flexibility. Whether that translates into the consistent performances White has promised will become clearer as the games come thick and fast.
