Ian Wright has backed Arsenal to beat Nottingham Forest in their upcoming Premier League fixture, though the pundit expects Oliver Glasner's side to make life difficult for Mikel Arteta's team.

Forest have built a reputation as a side capable of troubling bigger clubs, and Glasner will be keen to prove his team can compete with elite opposition after reportedly finding it hard to replicate the form he enjoyed at Crystal Palace. For Arsenal, the fixture offers a chance to maintain momentum as they continue to challenge for the title.

Wright backs a comfortable win

Speaking on the Stick to Football Podcast, Wright gave his prediction for the match. “I will go 3-1 Arsenal,” he said, suggesting he expects Arsenal to come away from the game with a comfortable victory despite the threat Forest could pose.

Garry Neville, however, offered a more cautious outlook on the same podcast. “I don't think it will be that easy for Arsenal. Tough day for you, usually. 1-0 to Arsenal,” he said, predicting a narrower scoreline and a tougher afternoon for the Gunners.

The contrast between the two predictions reflects differing views on how competitive the fixture could be, with Wright anticipating a two goal margin and Neville expecting a tighter contest decided by a single strike.

Arsenal eyeing continued consistency

Arsenal have been among the leading teams in the country this season, and a win over Forest would help keep pace in the title race. Manchester City are emerging as the main team to beat, meaning Arsenal will be aware of the importance of avoiding slip ups against sides lower in the table.

Forest will see the match as an opportunity to make a statement against one of the division's top sides, and Glasner is expected to prepare his players carefully given the quality Arsenal have shown this season.

Arsenal will go into the fixture looking to secure maximum points and continue building toward their ambitions of finishing the campaign as champions, with the early stages of the season still shaping the picture at the top of the table.
