Mikel Arteta‘s side displayed a dominant performance, showcasing their prowess and determination on the field.

The Gunners’ ascendancy back to the top was highlighted by Martin Odegaard’s superb strike, set up brilliantly by Kai Havertz in the 24th minute.

The goal was a product of Emile Smith Rowe‘s relentless pressure on Luton’s Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu, forcing a turnover that led to Odegaard’s clinical finish.

Havertz, in turn, reciprocated Odegaard’s earlier assist, showcasing a seamless connection between the two players.

Arsenal are still unbeaten in the Premier League in 2024.

Just before halftime, Reiss Nelson found the back of the net after a fine build-up orchestrated by Smith Rowe.

However, the goal was officially credited as an own goal by Hatters’ Hashioka, as per the decision of the match officials.

Despite Luton’s efforts to disrupt Arsenal’s rhythm, the Gunners maintained control throughout the match.

Takehiro Tomiyasu came close to extending Arsenal’s lead late in the second half with a curling effort that narrowly missed the target.

Substitute Eddie Nketiah also tested Luton’s goalkeeper, Thomas Kaminski, with a strong strike that was well saved.

Arteta’s side showcased not only their attacking prowess but also their defensive solidity, effectively neutralizing Luton’s threats.

The comprehensive victory demonstrated Arsenal’s collective work rate, which proved vital in nullifying the energetic play of Rob Edwards’ side.

The win propelled Arsenal back to the top of the Premier League standings, surpassing Liverpool, who are set to face Sheffield United in their upcoming fixture at Anfield on Thursday evening.

The Gunners’ performance against Luton Town serves as a testament to their ambition and determination as they continue their pursuit of Premier League glory.
