Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a positive injury update on key players Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli as the Gunners prepare for their upcoming Premier League match against Luton Town.

Saka Ready for Action

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s double-header against Luton and Brighton, Arteta confirmed that Bukayo Saka is fit and available for selection despite being substituted in their recent match against Manchester City.

Arteta stated, “He’s fine. We haven’t trained, just recovered. We have a short light session today to prepare the game and we’ll see if he’s in the best condition to start or not.”

Saka’s availability will be a boost for Arsenal as they aim to maintain their position near the top of the Premier League table.

Martinelli Returns from Injury

Another positive update from Arteta concerns Gabriel Martinelli, who had picked up a foot injury against Sheffield United but made a cameo appearance against Manchester City.

Arteta confirmed that Martinelli would be involved in the upcoming match against Luton, saying, “He is because he was available to play against a really tough opponent. He certainly is today.

We will train later and see how he is tomorrow.”

Martinelli’s return adds depth to Arsenal’s attacking options and provides Arteta with more choices as they navigate through a busy fixture schedule.

Timber’s Impending Return

In addition to Saka and Martinelli, Arsenal fans can also look forward to the return of Jurrien Timber.

The former Ajax star has been sidelined with an ACL injury since the start of the Premier League season, but Arteta revealed that Timber is back in training and nearing a return to action.

“We have discussed that. And being able to contribute in any possible way. We’re going to need everybody there. That’s certainly something really important. They need to feel it.

“The best way to do that is to play minutes. We have to show that in training, be close to them and then keep doing it to earn the right to play,” Arteta commented on Timber’s progress.

“He [Timber] is doing very well. He’s back training. He’s not far off. The thing is that last step. We’re going to have to feel it now.

“I would say he’s got a good chance [of playing before the end of the season].”

As Arsenal continue their push for success in both domestic and European competitions, having key players like Saka, Martinelli, and potentially Timber back in action will be crucial for Arteta’s plans and ambitions.
