Despite being under pressure for most of the game, Arsenal capitalised on a set-piece to claim the crucial three points, staying within two points of Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Gabriel’s Vital Header Seals the Win

Although Tottenham dominated the early proceedings, Arsenal managed to withstand the pressure and grabbed a key goal through Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhaes in the 64th minute.

The centre-back found space in the box and powerfully headed home a corner delivered by Bukayo Saka, a goal that came somewhat against the run of play.

Tottenham’s defence was caught off guard, allowing Gabriel to score what would ultimately be the winning goal.

Arsenal’s victory was critical, as they look to maintain momentum ahead of a crucial upcoming fixture against defending champions Manchester City.

The win also extended their strong form in north London derbies away from home.

Tottenham Dominates but Fails to Convert

Tottenham had the upper hand for much of the match, exploiting Arsenal’s weakened midfield in the absence of Declan Rice (suspended) and Martin Odegaard (injured).

Arsenal struggled to build their usual passing rhythm, with Tottenham applying significant pressure and creating several opportunities.

However, Spurs were unable to convert their chances into goals.

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya played a key role in keeping his side in the match, making two crucial saves early on.

Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke had opportunities to score but was unable to capitalise, and his header in the 88th minute was comfortably saved by Raya.

Late efforts by Spurs, including a long-range attempt from Dejan Kulusevski in injury time, went off target, allowing Arsenal to hold on to their lead.

As expected from a north London derby, the match was full of physical confrontations and intense moments.

Seven yellow cards were issued in the first half alone, reflecting the aggressive nature of the contest.

Arsenal had to defend resolutely in the final minutes, fending off Tottenham’s late push for an equaliser.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta had limited options on the bench, with only three senior outfield players available.

However, Raheem Sterling, a deadline-day signing, made his debut in the 80th minute, contributing to Arsenal’s solid defensive effort in the closing stages.

The win keeps Arsenal in the title race, with City looming in their next match, while Tottenham will need to regroup after a frustrating day in front of goal.
