Arsenal missed out on 11 targets - one £117m man has 7 in 7

Arsenal spent the summer linked with a long list of elite names after winning their first Premier League title in more than two decades, and only a handful of those pursuits ended with a signature at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta eventually added Bruno Guimaraes, Ezri Konsa and Christos Tzolis for a combined outlay of around £160million, while Piero Hincapie's loan was made permanent after he lifted silverware in north London last season.

But Mirror Football have run the rule over 11 targets who were linked with the Gunners and ended up elsewhere, tracking how each of them has started the new campaign.
The ones who have hit the ground running
Morgan Rogers is the standout. Arsenal were reportedly willing to break the British transfer record for the Aston Villa man, only for Chelsea to land him in a £117m deal. He has three goals and four assists in seven appearances under Xabi Alonso.
Victor Osimhen, one of the names floated during Arsenal's striker search, has stayed at Galatasaray and racked up six goals and two assists in just four games.
Antonio Nusa, linked after a strong World Cup with Norway, has five goal contributions in five domestic outings for RB Leipzig. His former Club Brugge colleague Joaquin Seys, meanwhile, has four assists in seven league games from left-back.
Slower starts elsewhere
Julian Alvarez was the marquee name on the list, with Arteta wanting competition for Viktor Gyokeres. The Argentine only ever had eyes for Barcelona and remains at Atletico Madrid, where Diego Simeone has started him once in four appearances. He is still without a goal.
Bradley Barcola was the other blockbuster near-miss. With Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli both leaving, the left flank needed reinforcing, but Liverpool won the race and paid £123m. Barcola is yet to register a goal contribution in five outings under Andoni Iraola.
Nico Williams, a recurring name in Arsenal's transfer chatter, stayed at Athletic Club after a World Cup-winning summer with Spain. He has one goal in six games.
Yan Diomande chose Real Madrid over a move to England and has started twice in eight games under Jose Mourinho, with one assist. Jack Hinshelwood scored twice against Aston Villa on the opening weekend for Brighton but has missed the last six matches through injury.
The ones that never really caught fire
Marcus Rashford's links to Arsenal were always among the flimsiest of the window. He has returned to Manchester United after a strong loan spell at Barcelona and has yet to rediscover that form.
Lutsharel Geertruida, floated as an alternative to Konsa given he covers centre-back and right-back, has joined PSV on a temporary basis. The Dutch side have won four of five, though they are still waiting on a first clean sheet.
Arsenal could comfortably have spent another couple of hundred million had more of those deals materialised. Instead, Arteta heads into the rest of the season with the squad he assembled, and the January window will offer the next chance to revisit any unfinished business.
