Jamie Carragher does not see much drama unfolding at the weekend when Arsenal host Everton, backing Mikel Arteta's side to win comfortably against David Moyes's team.

The Liverpool legend turned pundit has been running through his Premier League predictions for the weekend fixtures, and Arsenal's clash with Everton featured prominently among them. Speaking about the round of matches, Carragher said, according to the Metro: 'What a cracking line up we have in the Premier League this weekend. I don't think Arsenal will have any problems beating Everton especially given how strong they've been this season.'

Carragher did not stop there, running through several other fixtures taking place across the division. 'However, Brighton might not be so lucky at Anfield as I can see Liverpool ending their winning streak. Elsewhere, I see Chelsea winning against Spurs at home on Saturday,' he added.

Arsenal cannot afford to drop points

The prediction will be welcomed by Arsenal supporters, but Arteta's side will know that Everton are not to be taken lightly. Moyes has built a team capable of frustrating stronger opposition, and his side will arrive at the Emirates looking to disrupt Arsenal's rhythm rather than simply sit back.

With Manchester City continuing to push hard in the title race, there is little margin for error for Arsenal as the campaign progresses. Every dropped point could prove costly, and Arteta will be demanding full focus and intensity from his squad regardless of the bookmakers' odds or pundit predictions.

Arsenal have shown strong form this season, and that consistency is clearly a factor behind Carragher's confidence. Still, matches against sides fighting for European qualification often carry hidden danger, particularly when the stronger side is expected to win with ease.

Arteta demands discipline and purpose

For Arsenal, the approach will need to combine respect for the opponent with the attacking purpose that has characterised their performances so far this season. Taking an early lead and controlling the tempo of the match would go a long way toward making Carragher's prediction a reality.

Three points against Everton would keep Arsenal firmly in the title conversation heading into the next round of fixtures, with the pressure remaining on Manchester City to keep pace at the top of the table.
