Mikel Arteta’s squad recently enjoyed a dominant win over Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup, but with Leicester City on the horizon, Seaman is worried about one factor in particular that could impact Arsenal’s performance.

Arsenal’s Dominant Carabao Cup Performance

In midweek action, Arsenal comfortably defeated Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup, with young Ethan Nwaneri taking centre stage.

The 17-year-old’s brace was the highlight of the match, leaving Arsenal legends Theo Walcott and Paul Merson in awe of his talent.

Walcott praised Nwaneri’s ability, while Merson was captivated by the story of such a young player making a significant impact.

However, despite the high spirits following the cup win, attention now turns back to the Premier League, where Arsenal will face Leicester City at the Emirates.

With a mixed run of form in recent weeks, Arsenal will be eager to secure a win, but Seaman’s comments suggest the road ahead may not be so straightforward.

David Seaman Concerns About Fatigue

Arsenal’s Premier League campaign resumes on Saturday, and Seaman has voiced concerns about the team’s physical and mental condition going into the match.

The Gunners were forced to settle for a hard-fought draw against Manchester City in their previous league outing, with John Stones’ late equaliser snatching points from them.

Speaking on his YouTube channel Seaman Says, the former goalkeeper expressed his fear that fatigue could become a problem.

“My only worry for this game is fatigue,” Seaman said, noting the toll of recent matches, particularly the away fixtures. He also mentioned the possibility of injuries affecting the squad’s performance.

“We’ve had three away games, and now we’re going into Leicester. We’re expected to win this quite easily, but that’s when things can go wrong.”

Leicester’s Struggles This Season

Leicester City, meanwhile, are enduring a difficult start to their Premier League campaign, with the Foxes still searching for their first win of the season.

The team scraped past Walsall in the Carabao Cup on penalties midweek, but their form in the league has left their fanbase frustrated, with calls for manager Steve Cooper to be sacked.

Despite their struggles, Leicester boast a key player in Jamie Vardy, whose pace remains a threat. Arsenal’s defenders, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, will need to be sharp to handle Vardy’s attacking prowess.

Fortunately for Arteta, his squad came through the Bolton match largely unscathed, with the only injury concern being young midfielder Miles Lewis-Skelly.

While Seaman’s concerns about fatigue are valid, Arsenal appear to be in better shape than he might have anticipated.

As they prepare to take on Leicester, Arteta will be hoping to avoid any surprises and secure a vital three points in their pursuit of Premier League success.
