Havertz and Tzolis injuries headline Arsenal's crowded sick bay

Arsenal head into Saturday's meeting with Leeds at the Emirates Stadium carrying a genuine injury list, with Kai Havertz and Christos Tzolis both sidelined with hamstring problems picked up on international duty, while several other names carry smaller doubts of their own.
Havertz suffered his hamstring issue playing for Germany against the Netherlands, withdrawing early and returning to Arsenal for assessment. He has since undergone a scan, with the results yet to be made public. Standard Sport reports that while the forward has avoided a more serious setback, any absence is likely to run into weeks rather than months, with a potential return pencilled in for October or November.

Tzolis facing weeks out
Tzolis picked up his injury a week after Havertz, going down with a hamstring problem during Greece's Nations League clash with the Netherlands after having an early goal ruled out. He initially refused to come off before being replaced in the 18th minute, and subsequently underwent a scan in Greece. Early reports cited by Standard Sport suggest the winger could be out for up to three weeks, which would mean missing matches against Leeds, Lille, Nottingham Forest and Bayern Munich, with the visit of Everton on October 24 touted as a realistic return date.
Konsa a doubt, Rice set to feature
Ezri Konsa is a fresh concern after suffering a dead leg during England's defeat by Spain. He sat out training and remained an unused substitute against the Czech Republic in Prague, then played the full 90 minutes in the 7-0 win over Croatia before being withdrawn again ahead of a second game with the Czechs and sent back to north London for assessment. It remains unclear whether Konsa will be fit enough to face Leeds this weekend.
Declan Rice's withdrawal from the England squad before the games against Spain, the Czech Republic and Croatia prompted fresh fears, but this was described as load management rather than a new injury, with Rice having managed long-term neural hamstring pain that has moved into his lower back, as well as illness and calf issues earlier in the year. He is expected to start against Leeds.
There was better news on the defensive front. Ben White, Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera have all returned to training after respective issues and should be available for selection this weekend, while William Saliba remains without a match this season because of the long-term back injury he aggravated at the World Cup, with reports from France suggesting a comeback targeted for November or December.
Arteta will provide further clarity in his pre-match press conference, with the Leeds game offering the first proper look at how much of this squad Arsenal can call upon as the season moves into a congested autumn run.
