Joe Willock: There’s not enough fluidity in the team

Arsenal’s 2-1 loss to Wolves meant that it was the clubs worst ever start to a Premier League season after 10 games and it’s clear that there’s a lot going wrong for Mikel and his players at the moment.

Struggling to create chances and a balance in midfield, Mikel Arteta looked to Joe Willock for a solution to his sides lack of goals. Willock admits that there isn’t enough fluidity in the team at the moment:

“We’re not playing well enough as a team at the moment, It was very disappointing.” he said after Arsenal’s disappointing loss to Wolves last night.

“You never want to lose at the Emirates or in any game but I feel like in the first half it wasn’t good enough.

“We’re not playing well enough as a team at the moment and we need to stick together and bounce back from this very quickly. I don’t think it’s clicking enough and there’s not enough fluidity in the team.

“We need to sort this out as quickly as possible to fight for the position we want to fight for.”

Arsenal have only scored two Premier League goals in November and have lost five of their last eight league games, despite only losing five of their first 22 matches under Mikel Arteta. It’s clear that Mikel and the squad are beginning to struggle as the honeymoon period wears away.
