Harry Kane conceded that Arsenal deserved their point at the Allianz Arena, as the England captain reflected on a pulsating 2-2 draw in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice cancelled out goals from Alphonso Davies and Kane himself in a game that swung back and forth, with Bayern Munich eventually settling for a share of the spoils despite taking a late lead.

Who's out, who's back and what it means for the next two games.

Speaking to DAZN after the final whistle, Kane praised Arsenal's intensity, particularly after the break. "I thought it was a good performance. I think for large spells of the game, especially the start of the second half, we had a real intensity," he said.

"We looked dangerous, we got the goal and we had a moment to kill the game off. We had the momentum, they looked tired, but then we got caught in a low block for the final 15 minutes and they punished us with the goal."

The former Tottenham striker, who now captains both England and Bayern, admitted his side could not find a way through Arsenal's resistance when it mattered. "The draw was probably a fair result overall. I think we could have been a bit more clinical in the final third. But there are a lot of games, we've got a lot of players with injuries who are missing tonight. In the end, we'll take the point and move on."

A battle of fine margins

Kane described the match as a physical contest decided by small details, highlighting the duels and second balls that shaped the game's rhythm. "It was a battle. Every duel was important. They look for the second balls and build from there into the game. I thought we dealt with that for most of the game pretty well."

He added that Arsenal grew stronger as the game opened up late on. "As the game got a little stretched towards the end, they grew into it and they're a good physical team. Like I said, with the games we're playing, it's about every little detail. We probably didn't get enough right to deserve the win."

Bischof echoes Kane's verdict

Kane's assessment was shared by teammate Tom Bischof, who was equally complimentary of Arteta's side after the match, as reported by football.london.

"When you take the lead late, it's disappointing to not take three points. We had good phases in the second half, settled in up front, but Arsenal are a good team. They applied pressure and got their goal," Bischof said. "This wasn't just any opponent. We maybe needed to be a little more disruptive and annoying in the challenges as well as clever."

The result leaves Arsenal with another meaningful point on the road in Europe's premier competition, with the Gunners set to continue testing themselves against the continent's elite as the Champions League campaign progresses.
