Speaking on Dutch show Vandaag Inside, Van der Gijp praised the 23-year-old for his dynamic style of play and relentless energy, describing him as a “complete midfielder” capable of reaching the European elite.
“I think I will soon be proven right,” Van der Gijp stated.
“The only one in the PSV selection who will reach the European top is Saibari. Just pay attention.
“With Saibari, I really have the feeling that he’ll end up at Arsenal. I’m really convinced of that, yes.”
In contrast, Van der Gijp was less optimistic about Saibari’s teammate Malik Tillman, suggesting the American international is better suited to leagues like Serie A or La Liga, rather than the Premier League.
Promising Start to the Season
Saibari has had an impressive campaign so far, registering four goals and six assists in 16 appearances for PSV.
His performances have not only drawn admiration domestically but also internationally, with former Morocco international Ali Boussaboun earlier suggesting Arsenal would be a fitting next step for the player.
The attacking midfielder has shown versatility, excelling in multiple roles across PSV’s midfield.
His current contract runs until 2029, and he is valued at €16 million by Transfermarkt, indicating any potential transfer could require a significant investment.
Arsenal’s Transfer Outlook
While Arsenal have not yet been directly linked to Saibari, the praise he has received suggests he could align well with Mikel Arteta’s tactical vision.
The Gunners have previously targeted dynamic, hard-working midfielders, and Saibari’s attributes could fit the mould.
If Arsenal were to explore a move, they may face competition from other top European clubs, as Saibari’s stock continues to rise.
However, with high-profile endorsements and his upward trajectory, the Moroccan talent could be one to watch for Arsenal fans in the coming transfer windows.
