Among the players who might depart, Emile Smith Rowe and Kieran Tierney have been linked with potential moves away from the Emirates.

Additionally, Reiss Nelson has expressed a desire to leave, as reported by David Ornstein from The Athletic.

Nelson, an academy graduate, seems set on finding a new challenge, with West Ham showing keen interest.

West Ham Keen on Securing Nelson’s Signature

David Ornstein’s reports suggest that West Ham are eager to sign Reiss Nelson, with the winger’s market value estimated at around £20 million.

West Ham, Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Nottingham Forest are also monitoring the situation closely.

Nelson’s preference to stay in London could give West Ham an advantage in securing his services.

Nelson’s Need for Regular Playtime

Leaving Arsenal will be a tough decision for Reiss Nelson, considering his long history with the club’s academy.

However, with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard ahead of him in the pecking order, Nelson has struggled for playing time in recent seasons.

Approaching 25, he needs regular football to fully develop his potential.

Last season, he primarily played as a substitute, starting only one Premier League match and making 14 appearances from the bench, as Arsenal secured second place behind Manchester City.

David Ornstein of The Athletic noted that despite interest in January, Arsenal chose to retain Nelson, valuing his role in providing squad depth during their multi-competition campaign.

A move to West Ham could offer him the chance to shine in the Premier League, but whether the Hammers can finalise the deal remains uncertain.

Regardless of the outcome, it appears Nelson’s time at Arsenal is drawing to a close.
