Brooke Norton-Cuffy, a promising right-sided defender, has officially completed a permanent transfer from Arsenal to Serie A side Genoa.

The 20-year-old, who has been with Arsenal since the age of 10, departs after a decade of development at the club.

Norton-Cuffy’s journey through Arsenal’s youth ranks saw him make significant strides, culminating in his recent move to the Italian top flight.

During his time at Arsenal, Norton-Cuffy gained valuable experience through various loan spells, amassing over 100 senior appearances.

His most recent loan stint with Millwall in the Championship last season was particularly noteworthy, as he played a key role in their campaign, making 40 appearances and consistently impressing with his performances.

Success in Loan Spells

Before his time with Millwall, Norton-Cuffy made a significant impact during a short but crucial loan spell at Coventry City, where he was instrumental in their run to the Championship play-off final.

His January move to the Sky Blues saw him feature in 21 matches across all competitions, further solidifying his reputation as a reliable and talented defender.

In addition to his time at Coventry, Norton-Cuffy gained experience at Rotherham United in the Championship and Lincoln City in League One, where he first made his mark as a teenager.

His development was also bolstered by his involvement with England’s youth teams, including being part of the squad that won the European Under-19 Championships in 2022.

Norton-Cuffy’s move to Genoa marks a new chapter in his career.

The deal, reported to be worth €2 million with an additional €2 million in performance-related add-ons, sees him signing a five-year contract with the Italian club.

He will don the no.15 shirt as he embarks on his first season in Serie A.

Genoa, who are among the first teams in Serie A action this weekend, are set to face reigning champions Inter Milan at home on Saturday.

As the new season kicks off, Norton-Cuffy will be looking to make his mark in Italy, building on the solid foundation laid during his time with Arsenal and his successful loan spells in England.
